Roma Day 4

Day four brought early wake-up calls and long drives. From Rome it is 3 hours to Sorrento, or a town on the Amalfi Coast. We had booked with a private company for a private car and we drove to Sorrento early in the morning. Once we reached Sorrento it was mid morning and we spent some time in the town.

They have lots of limoncello there and cute shops along the way. Sorrento does not have the view of the Amalfi coast as you may picture. It is a little along the way and if you want to see the traditional Instagram picture of the Amalfi Coast I would recommend Positano.

We then found beautiful picture spots and then left the town to drive up the coast to a restaurant called Terranova. It was further up with windy roads but worth it. The food was amazing and the location was beautiful.

After we drove another half an hour to Pompeii. I have been obsessed with Pompeii since I learned about it in the third grade. It was amazing to see all of the history associated with the ruins and learn more about it.

After touring Pompeii we drove back home. we even made it out for gelato near the Trevi Fountain that night!
