La Vie En Pink

As my mom says, somedays you have to create your own sunshine. Earlier this week, I was not having a good day, but my mom made it all better with this dress. All a sad girl needs is a beautiful dress, perfect for fall. This day was warmer than the colder fall days we have been having, so with the sun and a cool breeze, my sister and I hit downtown and were lucky to see these colorful homes. 

This dress is by Hemant and Nandita, a designer my mom and I lust after. They are Indian designers so their clothes perfectly mix western and Indian styles. I added a black leather tie choker and these Illesteva sunglasses that I bought from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale way back when. The mirrored trend is so cute, I also love these and these. On top of it all, I put on Steve Madden Wedges that are comfortable and cute. 

The varying temperatures are making it hard to feel totally like fall, but this dress is the perfect representation of beautiful autumn colors.

Velvet. The velvet trend is blowing up, so grab your velvet items while you can. I am obsessed, I love it. It can be dressed up or down and its perfect. I hope I can get some of these items, especially the bomber. OMG in love. I recently bought the red Anthropologie top and its perfect. It has the perfect swing to it and the color is magnificent. Lots of brands and stores have velvet now too, so you can get velvet for whatever budget and whatever style. Heres to velvet!

Summer is my favorite season, but I love the change from summer to fall. The air is kind of chilly and the leaves fall right onto my car as I'm driving. This fall is little warmer than usual, but I'm not complaining. 

This top has the perfect flow and the collar is stunning. I bought this top a while ago, but it wasn't the right temperature to wear it. Finally the temp cooled down a little so I threw on these perfect crop kick jeans, of course from Gap, and headed downtown. I'm very lucky that my downtown has a historic feel to it, the houses and trees look charming during the fall. 

I can't wait to pull out my sweaters and boots, but I don't want winter to come. I love this weather!

Sweater time is here! Its finally getting chilly here so I've pulled my sweaters out from the bottom of the pile and I am super excited to wear them. This sweater vest though is a new addition from Gap. It's perfect for transitioning from summer to fall. I paired it with my favorite Gap jeans and a super soft Gap black t-shirt. Wearing this outfit definitely gave me fall vibes.

Being Indian, fall is a big time for religious holidays. Fall is always filled with family parties and gatherings with friends. With Diwali coming up soon, I am excited to see my family and of course decorate the house for the holidays with colorful powder and lights. Next thing you know Thanksgiving and Christmas will be right around the corner!
