Merry Christmas! I can't believe its finally here, time to open presents, eat desserts, and spend quality time with family. Christmas is always at our house and I am always in charge of desserts. I spend the time before Christmas baking and decorating the house with Christmas cheer. I made red velvet whoopee pies with chocolate cream cheese filling, tropical cookies (coconut, macadamia nuts, almonds and white chocolate), peppermint bark, Sicilian Love Cake, and chocolate chip biscotti. It was a big hit!
We play white elephant and it gets very interesting. The games this year ranged from aluminum foil to Starbucks gift cards. We had a wonderful time with family and friends and new memories were made.
The next morning my sister and I (in matching pajamas from Gap here) walked down to open our presents next to the tree. I got wonderful gifts and couldn't wait to see the reactions of my parents and sister as they opened their gifts. My family has many traditions and it is great to spend amazing time with them. I cannot wait to eat leftovers and of course for after Christmas sales!
