This year has brought much clarity to my life (and to others lives too, I am sure) about what I enjoy and do not enjoy. One thing to me is clear, I love to eat and create. I am in my zen zone when I'm in the kitchen and I love seeing the faces of my family and friends when they bite into something I have made for them. I also love to eat so it's a win-win situation for everyone.

This year I've made many items, most of them are not pictured (we ate them before we even got pictures.) love to put on some music, or a funny movie or show and bake. I do get stressed in the kitchen sometimes, but this year I have really pushed myself forward. I learned how to make ciabatta and focaccia bread and even tried to work on my piping skills.

Normally every Christmas I tend to take over dessert at my family's holiday party and always present a wide array of desserts that I worked on for almost a constant two to three days before the party. This year Covid has changed how we are celebrating and I am still baking, but at a much lesser volume. I have been looking for new recipes and have catered the menu to the few family members that are attending. I hope that 2021 will bring more wonderful bakes and I hope that it will allow me to grow as an amateur baker.
