Our first day in Charleston was HOT. This trip brought a few firsts for ur family. It was our first domestic road trip and our first time down south. We had heard the craze about South Carolina and decided to make a trip out of a party we have to attend in North Carolina.
We woke up at a good time and left our hotel to meet a sweltering sun. Just after a few steps, we were all sweating. We took the free bus around town to visit Rainbow Road. This is a beautiful street with houses of all different colors, quite the photo op. We then had had enough with the sun and ate a yummy lunch at Taziki, a Mediterranean cafe. The previous night we had eaten at Xiao Bao Biscuit and I would highly recommend it.
We then came back to the hotel for a dip in the pool. I would recommend coming to Charleston in any month but the summer, it gets very hot. Overall, out first day was wonderful and we still have more to see!
