Inspired by the French

My Instagram feed has been taken over by French inspired fashion, and of course extremely fashionable French women who seamlessly look perfect every second of the day. I have been itching for a change. I just don't know what it is but few times every year I'm tempted to drastically change something. Sometimes it's just a small ear piercing, sometimes it's a nose piercing, and sometimes it's a big haircut. Cutting your hair is not always scary, but I tend to always favor the extreme. I normally always keep my hair short because it's easier to manage but now, I'm loving my longer hair and even thinking of bangs. Bangs?!! Yes, bangs!! The french fringe (man someone should patent that) has been leaking into my dreams and daily consciousness. I truly want to do it. Maybe I will, we'll see.

Now, I love this blazer. It has a beautiful floral print that is really easy to pair with items in my wardrobe. I don't know what it is, but french women have a way of always looking very composed and classy all of the time. I have mentioned this, but I want to update my wardrobe to look mature and to be versatile. I want pieces that can be interchanged and are easy to wear. I feel that this blazer could be an easy statement piece.

Blazers are a funny piece of clothing. They can be very professional, but at times they can be the perfect addition to an outfit that can make you look like you have your life together. It may not be that way, but isn't it nice to pretend to the world that you're gliding through life? Maybe that's why people wear blazers.
